This easy-to-make valance, with its distinctively country-look, will add a good measure of charm to just about any window. By simply adjusting the length of the top, front, molding and rod, it can be adapted to a variety of window sizes. The valance is made to fit snugly on the window trim molding, so it can be firmly secured by driving screws into the window molding through the top. The top doubles as a shelf, providing added space for knickknacks and the like, while a pair of grooves will prove useful when you want to display your favorite plates.
