This do-it-yourself cutting board kit includes a blend of cherry, mahogany and walnut strips for pleasing contrast. You can rearrange the strips to achieve different effects, or purchase multiple kits to create a wider cutting board. All strips are machined from quality hardwoods that will stand up to heavy cutting and chopping. The edges are milled to provide a strong glue joint. A waterproof glue is recommended for assembly. Trim to finished size and sand. You may want to route a decorative edge profile to give it a distinctive look, then finish with a food-grade product such a butcher block oil. All dimensions are approximate.
