Tilting Base for Makita Compact Routers
$49.00
The Makita Tilting Router Base is used with the Makita RT0700C and RT0701C Compact Routers (#51834, sold separately). It also fits Makita's 18V Cordless Compact Routers (e.g. #52895, sold separately). Once installed, it allows you to rout angled channels and create other decorative effects that an ordinary base and bit cannot replicate. The base has straight sides that can be run against an accessory guide fence and positive stops at -30° and 45°. It is ideal for trimming laminated boards and other thin materials.
Features:
Tilt base has positive stops at -30° and 45° for routing at different angles
Allows for different profiles when using the same router bit
Ideal for trimming laminate materials

I needed to route slots at an angle that has a square or close to it the stop. A table saw still has the curve unless you cut all the way across your stock.
