Sjobergs 1900 Workbench with SM05 Cabinet

The Sjobergs SB119 workbench features a traditional tail vise for incredible clamping versatility and solid workpiece support. The gap in the tail vise is useful for clamping items vertically along the front edge of the bench—chair legs for shaping, rails for tenoning—with benchtop space on both sides to set your tools. In addition, you can secure long boards and panels on the top of the bench for face planing. Unlike an end vise, the tail vise provides excellent support beneath the entire workpiece while planing, leaving only a small gap unsupported. Sjobergs benchtops are constructed from full-length laminations of knot-free European beech. Solid beech is also used in the trestle frame, and the entire bench is treated with top-quality oil. The tops are approximately 2-3/8'' thick in the middle, while the skirt around the edge is a hefty 4-5/16'' in height. The front vise boasts an opening capacity of just under 4-3/4'', and features two rows of round dog holes. The four included round dogs swivel to hold round or irregularly shaped items.
