A bit of judicious mallet-tapping is sometimes all it takes to seat a stubborn dowel in its hole, drive a wedge that last little distance or close a freshly cut dovetail joint. It's sure not a job for a steel-headed hammer or even the thuds of a dead-blow. You need more delicate but determined force, and that's where our Non-Marring Double-Headed Mallet really shines. Its steel head with brushed finish is capped on either end by two different faces—one hard plastic and the other soft rubber—so you can choose the intensity of the impact you need. Use the rubber head for delicate applications, such as when working with softwoods, or flip over to the plastic head when the task calls for a bit more persuasion! Our mallet has a premium hickory handle for durability with a custom ergonomic grip that ensures good control while reducing fatigue.
