To refine an edge and remove smaller nicks prior to final polishing, an 800-Grit Diamond Stone will get the job done quickly. Here's the go-to for touching up edges that are in overall good working order. Extremely durable industrial-grade diamond abrasive is bonded to a steel plate, so this stone will never lose its flatness. While not mandatory, using a lubricant during sharpening can extend the life of the abrasive and help to clear metal swarf; be sure to dry the stone completely if water is used to prevent rust. To help secure your diamond stone for easier and cleaner use, we recommend our Silicone Sharpening Tray (#74995, sold separately).
