This fitting provides two functions that could normally only be achieved by purchasing multiple fittings and hoses—a significant cumulative expense. Firstly, it splits the main line into two lines with an efficient, clog-resistant ''Y'' junction. Secondly, it reduces the hose diameter from a single 4'' hose to two 2-1/2'' hoses so you can connect to common power tools that have a smaller port size, among them router tables, band saws, and small table saws. The 2-1/2'' ports are also compatible with our Universal Small Port Hose Kit, so you can connect handheld power tools to your dust collection system.
Tip: For maximum dust collection efficiency, hose reducers should be located as close to the power tool(s) as possible.
