Made entirely of beech, the bench weighs more than 200 lbs., which will help it stay put and resist vibration during heavy pounding, sawing and hand-planing tasks. The front vise features a cast iron housing, stout lead screw and double steel rods to keep its long face moving smoothly and parallel to the benchtop. A high-quality spindle on the double-dovetailed tail vise guarantees precise clamping and easy operation over its almost 6'' clamping range. This bench's beefy lower rails can be installed either midway up the legs or just above the feet, to suit your storage preferences under the benchtop. A drawer and full-length tool well will help keep the tools you're using most within easy reach.
