Powermatic's OES9138B Oscillating Edge Sander is designed for heavy-duty performance and versatility with many user-friendly features. Set the speed of its included 120-grit, 9'' x 138'' abrasive belt to suit the aggressiveness of the sanding action you require. The belt's oscillation, which aids in stock removal, helps prevent belt clogging and minimizes scratch patterns, is also adjustable. A long front cast iron table provides plenty of workpiece support for edge-sanding anything from long boards to thick planks, billets and large posts or even moderately sized drawers and other assemblies. Use a second curved table at the end of the machine, in tandem with the belt drum, to sand concave edges. When workpieces require beveled edges, tilt the belt assembly from 0° up to 45° to set it to the precise sanding angle you need. Or sand miter joints and end grain using the included miter gauge with long fence. A 4'' dust port connects to your dust collector (1,100 CFM or larger dust collector is recommended) to keep sanding dust under control. The sander's massive and heavy base dampens vibration and ensures that it will stay firmly planted during operation.
