The Next Wave Shark HD544 will expand your part-making capabilities in wood, plastics, soft metals and other materials with the ultimate in computer-aided control. Featuring more than 4' x 4' of machining capacity in an open-base platform, it can cut, carve, drill, shape and mill both large and small workpieces with absolute precision and efficiency. Designed and built for heavy-duty applications and long service life, the HD544 has a 3HP water-cooled spindle that travels on high-speed linear guides and bearings, with high-speed anti-backlash and ultra precise leadscrews on all axes. The system supports rapid movement up to 400 inches per minute. A wide color-enhanced pendant controller with touch screen eliminates the need for a separate computer to operate the CNC, if you use VCarvePro software (available separately). Or you can run the Shark HD544 from your laptop or PC with the included Ready2Control program. It lets you use Next Wave's exclusive patented Virtual Zero Unlimited software, which adjusts your design to fit curves and angles that would be impossible on other brands of machines.

The Shark HD544 is ready to assemble on table measuring at least 64" x 64", which is not included. This model is fully compatible with Next Wave CNC’s extensive product line of accessories, such as laser, 4th axis, digitizer and more.
