Speaker 1: The safest way to store bandsaw blades is in a coil. Just like they come from the factory. Learning how to coil your bandsaw blade isn't difficult, it just requires a little bit of practice, some heavy gloves and some safety glasses. It's also a good idea to have a piece of cardboard on the floor to protect the blade teeth, and to wear some long pants. Well, here's how you do it, with the blade teeth facing away from you, step down on the blade and in a hand over hand motion, twist the blade into a figure eight, then take the top circle and twist it another 180 degrees and push everything down. Grab all of these coils at the floor with both hands, and gently bounce the blade to even up the diameter of the coils. That's it. I'll demonstrate that again. With the blade teeth facing away from you, step down on the blade and in a hand over hand motion twist the blade into a figure eight, then twist the top circle 180 degrees again, and push everything down that establishes the coils, then grab all the coils with both hands and gently bounce them against the cardboard to help even up the coil diameter until they're all the same. Now all you need to do is wrap a twist tie around this blade, and it's ready for storage on a pegboard hook, or on the wall until the next time you need it. Pretty simple.
