The Jet JWJ-8HH-BLK 8'' Helical Head Jointer features generously dimensioned, precision-ground cast iron infeed and outfeed tables that let you joint long, heavy stock with far less risk of tipping. The tables and other major cast iron components are protected with Jet's Black Performance Coating to resist corrosion, reduce friction when feeding workpieces and eliminate the need for polishing and waxing. Its helical cutterhead has 36 solid-carbide inserts arranged in a staggered, spiral pattern to produce an exceptionally smooth finish, even in figured woods. Individual inserts can be easily rotated to expose a fresh edge if nicked, and all can be rotated together to refresh the entire head up to three times before replacement inserts are needed. The jointer has a powerful, quiet 2HP motor. Its height adjustment lever for the infeed table and handwheel for the outfeed table make depth-of-cut adjustments accurate and easy.
