The Rockler Router Table Half Lap Jig is the only jig on the market that makes it possible to easily cut both regular half lap joints and mitered half lap joints at the router table. Half lap joints boast maximum glue area, resulting in an incredibly strong joint. Use the mitered version for a pleasing appearance on things like picture frames, and the square version for more structural frames and ease of assembly.
Half Lap Jig Details:
- Lets you use your router table to cut tight-fitting half lap and mitered half lap joints
- Includes two replaceable zero-clearance inserts that mount to the phenolic base for clean cuts and precise positioning
- Wooden sacrificial backer (included) provides support for your workpiece
- Reference pins at 90° or 45° make setup easy for regular and mitered half-lap joints
- Steel set screws in registration pins are fine-tuned during setup to make sure angles are exactly 90° and 45°
- Onboard center marking tool helps mark center of workpiece thickness, making it easier to set bit height
- Tall easy-to-grip handles provide excellent control, clear guard helps keep hands away from bit
- Hold-down toggle clamp and Bit-Saver hold-down clamp hold stock firmly
- 15'' long aluminum miter bar features nylon set screws that can be adjusted for a no-slop fit
- Works with stock up to 2-3/4'' wide and 1'' thick
Note: Fits router tables with standard 3/8'' x 3/4'' miter slots that are between 4-1/4'' and 7-5/8'' from the bit edge.
