It comes with one 36'' extruded aluminum fence rail and two steel connector bars that exactly match the rails and bars of your starter system, so it's fully compatible and works seamlessly with the micro-adjust flip stop. A pair of 10' self-adhesive tape measures read left-to-right and right-to left; just peel off the original shorter tape measure on the rail you are extending and replace it with the appropriate longer tape.
