The thick, sturdy lead in Dixon's Reach Mechanical Pencil makes it ideal for woodworking and carpentry use, as it won't break if it catches a patch of coarse grain. In addition, its slim barrel allows the pencil to reach through narrow holes and thick templates for marking purposes. As the lead wears, it's easy to advance the lead without having to resort to a sharpener, but if you need a fine point, a sharpener is built in. The lead leaves clear, dark lines on most wet or dry surfaces. A 12-pack of lead refills is included.
