CMT Locked Dado Pro Blade Set, 8'' x 12T

When typical dado blades are stacked on a saw arbor, there's nothing to prevent the teeth of one blade from inadvertently touching the teeth of the next blade. That can lead to inaccurate blade width settings and even damage the teeth when the arbor nut is tightened. The unique design of this Locked Pro Dado Blade Set solves that problem. Notches on the rims of the outer blades and chipper blades provide recesses for the sides of the teeth on adjacent blades, so the teeth can't touch and the blades fit together flush. It also automatically staggers the arrangement of the blade teeth in the stack.

Additionally, three included lock spacers have raised patterns on their faces that fit into matching cutouts in the bodies of the outer and chipper blades. When the lock spacers are used, they offset the position of the chipper teeth from one chipper to the next or between chippers and outer blades. Once properly loaded and tightened, all the blade components in the stack lock together to prevent shifting during cutting.
