Next Wave Automation's 7-Watt Solid State Laser Module boasts enough power to engrave wood, leather, and acrylics, as well as the ability to cut thin materials like balsa, basswood, foam, paper and fabric. It allows CNC owners to lase incredibly detailed photographic engravings, images and lettering, without the additional investment of a standalone benchtop laser. The Solid State Laser module is fully compatible with all Shark HD4 and Piranha CNC machines. All necessary components are included, and the module is easily mounted by simply chucking it into your 1/4'' router collet, just like installing a router bit. There is no need to remove the router to convert your CNC to a laser.
