Narex is proud to present their premium Richter chisels, named in honor of their founder, Mr. Vaclav Richter, and the 100th anniversary of the company. Richter chisels are made to exacting specifications with narrow lands (sides) that allow easy access to the corners of dovetails without risk of bruising. Superior heat treatment and the highest quality manufacturing processes result in durable edges and unmatched consistency within the steel. Richter chisel handles are made of European Ash, known for its strength, toughness and attractive grain. The ergonomic handles are sanded and hand-polished for comfort and control. Solid stainless steel ferrules protect the handles from splitting, and leather washers absorb the shock of mallet blows.

Narex 5-Piece Richter Chisel Set Details:

• Includes 1/4'', 3/8'', 1/2'', 3/4'' and 1'' chisels—ultra-thin sides provide access to dovetail corners without bruising
• Blades made from the highest quality Chrome Vanadium (Cr-V) steel using traditional drop-forging methods
• Hardened, cryogenically treated and tempered to achieve a minimal hardness of 62 HRC
• Backs are ground flat to precise tolerances, requiring minimal flattening during initial sharpening
• Subsequent fine-grinding and polishing ensure a mirror-like surface
• Front bevel is ground at 24°; a secondary micro-bevel is advisable depending on how the chisel is used
• Polished handles from selected European ash hardwood
