These premium 5'' mesh sanding discs feature Cubitron II abrasive, a hard ceramic that behaves like carbide—when the grains break, they expose a new sharp edge, resulting in incredibly fast sanding, and exceptionally long-lasting performance. The abrasive is layered on 3M's Xtract net backing that provides virtually dust-free sanding, regardless of the hole-pattern on your sander. Under a microscope, 3M's Precision-Shaped Grain can be seen as a field of neatly triangular abrasive particles, all oriented vertically for keen cutting power. You’ll sand more parts per disc, with less dust, boosting productivity and cleanliness.
